London, January 1.  Yesterday was performed before their
Majesties and the Royal Family the following Ode written by
William Whitehead, Esq., Poet-Laureate, and set to musick by
Dr. Boyce, Master of the King's Band of Musicians.
ODE FOR THE NEW YEAR. JANUARY 1, 1772. 
At length the fleeting year is o'er, 
And we no longer are deceived:
The wars, the tumults are no more
Which fancy form'd and fear believed.
